Before beginning the Hyperstat provisioning process, you will need the following components:
- Flash Station PC
- Atmel-ICE tool
Step 1: Powering and connecting the Hyperstat
Remove the Hyperstat from the box and separate the two sides either by prying on each corner with a case knife, or by hooking your finger through the hole on the back and pulling sharply while holding the front edges.
Connect the Hyperstat back board to 24VAC or 24VDC power.
Step 2: Set the firmware version
Verify that you have the updated firmware file from 75F in the flashtool directory. If using a new firmware version, locate the hyperstat config file and edit it. Under the "[FirmwareInfo]" section, edit the firmware version and firmware filename to reflect the new version, as shown below.
Step 3: Flash the Hyperstat
At this point, place the Hyperstat front board face down next to the Hyperstat back board. Plug the Atmel-ICE cable from into the 10-pin connector on the Hyperstat front board.
Place the Hyperstat front board onto the back board and press down to connect the two together. When facing the front of the Hyperstat, be sure to press down the bottom-left corner first, so as not to damage the connector between the two boards.
In the PowerShell terminal, type the following command, then press enter:
.\flashtool -f hyperstat.ini -c flashapp
Once you press enter, the terminal should begin to run the command, with the output reflecting this. It takes approximately three minutes for this to complete. Once you see the cursor reappear, the flash has completed.
Disconnect the Atmel-ICE cable from the Hyperstat.
