Before beginning the CM flashing process, you will need the following components:
- Flash Station PC
- Atmel-ICE tool
Step 1: Powering and connecting the CM
Remove the CM from the box, then connect the terminals to 24VAC or 24VDC power.
Step 2: Set the firmware version
Verify that you have the updated firmware file from 75F in the flashtool directory. If using a new firmware version, locate the hyperstat config file and edit it. Under the "[FirmwareInfo]" section, edit the firmware version and firmware filename to reflect the new version, as shown below.
Step 3: Flash the Hyperstat
Plug the Atmel-ICE cable from into the 10-pin connector on the right side of the CM board.
In the PowerShell terminal, type the following command, then press enter:
.\flashtool -f cm4.ini -c flashapp
Once you press enter, the terminal should begin to run the command, with the output reflecting this. It takes approximately three minutes for this to complete. Once you see the cursor reappear, the flash has completed.
Disconnect the Atmel-ICE cable from the CM.
